FAQ

Questions before you join the circle.

Clear answers for new writers, experienced writers, nervous writers, genre writers, poets, screenwriters, memoirists, and anyone wondering whether the name is friendly. It is.

Name

Is this actually a cult?

No. The name is playful branding. “Cult” means devotion to craft, regular gatherings, shared jokes, mutual accountability, and a group of people who care too much about sentences.

Genres

What kinds of writing are welcome?

Fiction, poetry, memoir, essays, screenplays, comedy, romance, sci-fi/fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, children’s writing, YA, nonfiction, reviews, journalism, experimental work, and mixed forms.

Experience

Do I need to be published?

No. Beginners, returning writers, hobbyists, serious draft-finishers, working writers, and published writers can all fit. The site is designed around paths, rooms, and goals so people can enter at different levels.

Critique

How does feedback work?

Feedback should be specific, honest, and kind. Members respond to what the piece is trying to become. The writer always owns the final choice.

Meetings

Will events be in person or online?

The prototype supports both. A realistic launch would include a weekly write-in, monthly critique studio, monthly genre night, occasional open reading, and hybrid options when possible.

Portal

What is the member portal for?

The portal gives members a private writing dashboard: Writer Studio, projects, goals, saved sparks, critique queue, submissions, accountability circles, and zine prep.

Still curious?

Start with the intake form.

The prototype saves your starter path locally. The backend version will turn this into a real member profile.
